Whether performing at Toronto Fire Services graduations, honouring fallen firefighters, or representing the service at major civic events, the Toronto Fire Pipes & Drums carries forward a proud tradition of music, discipline, and public service.
Operating with the support of the Fire Chief, our membership includes dedicated firefighters, first responders, and accomplished civilian musicians who share a commitment to excellence.
Who We’re Looking For
Firefighters & First Responders
We encourage members of Toronto Fire Services and other emergency services to continue the tradition of pipe band music while serving their communities.
Experienced Civilian Volunteers
We’re always interested in hearing from skilled pipers and drummers who wish to contribute their talents to one of Canada’s premier service bands.
Please note: The Toronto Fire Pipes & Drums is a performing band—not an instructional program.
Membership Requirements
- Prior Experience Required
Applicants must already have strong proficiency on the Highland bagpipes or pipe band snare, tenor, or bass drum. - Commitment to Excellence
Members are expected to attend regular rehearsals and scheduled ceremonial performances throughout the year. - Pride in Representation
Our members uphold the professionalism, traditions, and esprit de corps of Toronto Fire Services whenever they wear the uniform.
